Emma Watson has worked her magic on Matt Janney.

The Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows actress, 23, was photographed kissing and cuddling with the Oxford University rugby player, 21, in the Caribbean on Monday, Jan. 6. The vacation came just as news of the actress' summer split with boyfriend Will Adamowicz was revealed by the British press.

Watson's rep confirmed the breakup to E! News but declined to comment on the Janney romance.

A vacationer told the U.K.'s The Mirror that Watson and Janney "didn't have a care in the world," during their sexy getaway. "Matt was very protective of Emma, often putting his arm around her."

"He was being a gentleman the whole time," the onlooker added. "He is clearly very much into her, but then who wouldn't be? She is one of Hollywood's hottest stars. They couldn't stop giggling and smiling the whole time." A source previously told The Mirror that "they're very much in to each other. Matt's a real hit with the girls but he may have finally met his match."

"Matt's a lovely guy, charismatic and intelligent," the source continued. "They make a great couple."

The two reportedly began seeing each other after Janney played in annual varsity rugby match between Oxford and Cambridge at Twickenham Stadium in London on Dec. 12. Watson, who attended the university for one year, was seen in the stands cheering on Janney as he helped guide his team to a 33-15 victory. She then attended the post-match victory party at the Ping bar in London's Earl's Court.

Brown University student Watson met former boyfriend Adamowicz, 23, at Oxford in 2011.

Before Janney began studying French and Russian at Oxford's Oriel College, he interned at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer law firm in Paris. The athlete also studied at King's College School in Wimbledon.

Janney was once dubbed Oxford's most eligible bachelor—but those days are over, thanks to Watson.

Watson will attend the Golden Globes on Sunday, Jan. 12, but it's not known if she'll take Janney.
