Keira Knightley has found her prince.

The Anna Karenina star married musician James Righton this morning in the south of France at the town hall (Hotel De Ville) in Mazan, E! News has confirmed.

And the newlyweds' wedding in the French countryside was certainly one for the books. (Books of the romance variety, that is.)

We had previously heard that Knightley was going to walk down the aisle in a custom Karl Lagerfeld gown, the creative director of Chanel being the likely choice since the star has been the face of Coco Mademoiselle and she recently played Coco Chanel in Lagerfeld's short film Once Upon a Time.

And she did! The blushing bride was spotted walking hand-in-hand with her hubby after the ceremony, wearing a Chanel strapless, tulle dress and jacket.

The couple's 10-minute long ceremony was conducted in French by the town's mayor Aime Navello and translated into English by an official, a source tells E! News.

"It was just close family, no one else," the source said. "But it's all 100 percent legal and they're officially married now."

"They signed the registry and Aime gave them a 'livret de famille—a book that in France they traditionally hand to the bride with pages to fill with the medical records of your future children. They explained that and Keira and James laughed."

The source said Knightley has been staying in France with her hubby, with both flying overseas for work as needed to get around local laws.

"You have to be resident in France for two months and if you have been then you can marry," the source explained.

The morning's nuptials were just the beginning of the couple's wedding festivities.

The bride and groom will have a second wedding at a farmhouse in the country with speeches, vows, drinking and dancing this afternoon.

"The vibe's very rock and roll," the source told us. "Keira's told her friends not to dress up and the focus is more on enjoying the weekend. They're soul mates and absolutely crazily in love."

Knightley and Righton, the keyboardist for indie outfit Klaxons, got engaged nearly a year ago after about 15 months of dating. They've kept their wedding plans private and their affection for each other quite public.
