George Clooney and Tobey Maguire have faced off against some formidable foes—Clooney as Batman, Maguire as Spider-Man.

But can the celeb duo take down their biggest adversary yet: a hoops-shootin' Barack Obama?!

A day after a record-breaking fundraiser at Clooney's pad, the actors hit the court with the president this morning for a basketball game, going toe to toe (or is it dunk to dunk?) in a matchup of Hollywood star power versus political star power.

So did the president's hardball tactics come in handy on the court as well?

Well, no word on who won the match, which USA Today reports was held at the Cheviot Hills Recreation Center in Los Angeles and included members of Obama's staff.

But the game was bound to happen: At the fundraiser the evening before, the president cracked that Clooney "has been talking smack about his basketball game ever since I've known him."

The event raked in an unprecedented $15 million for Obama's reelection campaign and drew A-list guests including Robert Downey Jr., Salma Hayek and Barbra Streisand, who each shelled out $40,000 a pop for the sold-out fête.

At least Clooney made good on his promise about that hoops game—we're ready for a rematch!
