This certainly gives new meaning to the equal-time rule.

During Sunday night's episode of HBO's True Blood, a group of villains who opened fire on some of the show's characters obviously didn't want their identities revealed. So what did they do to disguise themselves?

Don President Barack Obama masks.

Of course, the scene just happened to air a few weeks after HBO itself came under fire when it was revealed during a Game of Thrones DVD commentary that a George W. Bush mask was used to serve as a decapitated head on a stake for a grisly scene on the hit fantasy series.

The creators of the show subsequently apologized, insisting it was not a political statement, and the cable network later altered the episode.

"It's a complete and utter coincidence and one show has nothing to do with the other," an HBO rep told E! News.
