Jessica Biel isn't expecting her life to begin the day she becomes Mrs. Justin Timberlake.

In fact, it's quite the opposite: the 30-year-old brunette beauty (who just celebrated her engagement over the weekend) told French magazine Gala she thinks marriage "won't change anything."

"It's just a challenge to balance privacy, family, and work, but I'm ready," she added. "For me, getting married does not mean we should be limited to a predefined plan. Rather, it's an opening to explore new things."

She joked that although she's "almost never home," she does plan to "stay longer in the kitchen" after she and Timberlake, 31, say "I do."

"In general, it's a total disaster," she admitted of her cooking skills. But among her "pleasant surprises" have been some "excellent zucchini fritters."

She also opened up about what qualities make for an ideal hubby. "The ability to clearly express his feelings," she said, adding that "honesty" was important as well.

As for rumors that she'll be wearing Elie Saab for her walk down the aisle? "Well if you want to know the truth, I have not yet found the dress," she said. "It's so personal."
