We've lost count, but this holiday season certainly seems to have brought a lot more than five golden rings.

First Tony Romo and Shania Twain, then Bret Michaels, Ginnifer Goodwin and Hugh Hefner (um, separately), then Natalie Portman, Jason Mraz, and LeAnn Rimes (but not for the first time), and now Lily Allen is the latest celebrity to have been given an extra special blingtastic present by her partner, getting engaged to her longtime beau Sam Cooper over Christmas.

So how'd the question get popped?

Well, so far there's no official word on the topic from the 25-year-old pop star or her 32-year-old beloved, but Cooper reportedly surprised Allen with a ring on Christmas Day, when the duo was vacationing in Bali.

Cooper reportedly proposed at sunset on the balcony of their hotel suite, overlooking the Indian Ocean. Obviously, she said yes.

"Happy Holidays everyone xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx," was all she tweeted on Christmas night.

But news spread after the couple headed down to the hotel's bar to celebrate their engagement, drinking champagne and happily chatting to fellow guests about their big news well into the night.

Word of the engagement comes nearly two months after Allen suffered a devastating miscarriage six months into her pregnancy. After the tragic incident, the singer was hospitalized for septicaemia, a potentially lethal blood-poisoning condition. Cooper remained by her side.

No date has yet been set (or at least, announced) for the happy couple, who has been dating since July 2009. Congrats!
