No need to fear the TV Grim Reaper, Grimm.

NBC confirms to us that the network has renewed the fantasy/horror detective series for a second season…

Grimm, which has been holding steady on Friday nights, is one of the very few freshman series to survive this TV season on NBC. The Peacock network has already canceled new series The Firm, Free Agents, The Playboy Club and Prime Suspect.

Starring former Road Ruler Dave Giuntoli, Grimm was one of Watch With Kristin's top five new shows of the fall. And 62 percent of you voted to save it in our Save or Sink It poll when it premiered back in October.

TVLine.com first reported the renewal news.

NBC is expected to announce more pickups in the coming week (NBC and E! are part of the same NBCUniversal family).

Time to celebrate, Grimm fans! We'll meet you down in the comments.
