First Look: Tom Cruise Getting His Rock of Ages On!

Actor and his beefed-up bod channel the 80s for upcoming musical flick

Holy glam rock!

Tom Cruise has officially transformed into Stacee Jaxx for the upcoming film adaptation of Rock of Ages.

And boy oh boy, the '80s are sure doing Cruise's body good...

"Ladies and gents: first look at tom cruise as stacee jaxx! First day of shooting!" the film's director Adam Shankman tweeted earlier today with a shot of Cruise in action.

In the photo, a shirtless and muscled-up Cruise sporting long hair rocks out on stage with microphone in hand, donning tight black pants, black boots and rocker-chic jewelry. Cruise's left arm (bulging bicep and all) is up with a "rock on" hand gesture, spotlighting a dagger-shaped tattoo on his forearm.

"It's this brilliant mashup, it seems, of Axl Rose, Keith Richards and Jim Morrison," Shankman told us back in April of the inspiration for Cruise's character.

Shankman tweeted more on-set action yesterday: "Surreal but true: Def Leppard just visited set of #rockofagesmovie, and T Cruise as Stacee and Arsenal performed Pour Some Sugar On Me, and they gave a standing ovation!"

Sounds like quite the rockin' good time!
