You gotta love Peter Jackson!

As crazy busy as the director might be right now creating the two-part Lord of the Rings prequel The Hobbit, the guy still manages to find the time to give fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse of it all slowly coming together.

In this production video diary just posted by Jackson, we get to see the man in action as he wraps up the first block of a three block shooting schedule until production resumes again in September.

However, while much of the cast and crew have some time off to, say, take a vacation, for Jackson, there's no rest for the weary, as he rattles off his to-do list involving editing, extensive meetings as well as intense location scouting (which we actually get to witness) around New Zealand.

"In some respects, I'm back in preproduction again, but also in postproduction," he says. "It all gets a bit screwy."

Screwy for him, maybe. But for us, it's all pretty cool.

"We'll say goodbye for now and, hopefully, you've enjoyed this update," Jackson says at the end of the clip. "There may well be another one coming during the break sometime, so keep your eye out for that."

No problem there. Eye is out, open, ready and waiting!
