The two were estranged for more than 10 years, and the tell-all momma (she gave an interview about their relationship and wrote a memoir about the family) was not invited to Jen's wedding with Brad Pitt.
But rift aside, when Jen's mom suffered a stroke over the weekend, Ms. Aniston was the perfect daughter and rushed to the hospital to comfort her mother.
So who was there comforting Jen?
None other than boyfriend, Justin Theroux, who patiently waited outside for Jen as she tended to her mother's needs.
Supportive boyfriend, spending time with the fam, and moving in together. Sounds like the couple is getting very serious.
"This takes it to a whole 'nother level," confided a pal close to Aniston, regarding Jennifer wanting Justin by her side at an L.A.-area hospital.
I mean, forget those tired rumors of Jen being pregnant yet again, Justin going along for a mom visit is a much stronger sign of marriage No. 2 for Jenny.
And since Ms. Dow was noticeably absent from Jen's first nuptials, we can't help but wonder if this reconciliation between mom and daughter foreshadows a wedding where the entire family can be present.
Or even better? If Jen is serious about a family with Justin—it's supposedly what the girl wants—then perhaps she is concerned with her mom playing G-ma to a little one.
As to which is next, wedding bells or a bun in the oven, we'll have to wait and see. But at least we can hope the whole family will be there.
