Depending on what kind of mood you're in, this will either make you feel depressingly old or joyfully nostalgic.

Here's hoping it's the latter.

James Cameron has released the trailer for the 3D version of his now 14-year-old blockbuster epic Titanic, which is due to return to theaters in both its original 2D and funny glasses-requiring versions on April 6, 2012.

And while it may not look any different to you now (if it does, uh, you should get that checked out), the director took to the movie's Facebook page to offer up a special introduction to his beloved re-release.

"I want to thank all of you in our Facebook audience from around the world for your amazing support of Titanic over the years," he said. "To celebrate reaching over 10 million fans on our Titanic page, which just happened last Thursday, I want to share the new Titanic trailer with you guys first. I hope you enjoy the trailer and I can't wait for you to experience Titanic like never before, when we release the film in 3D this April. I'm excited to be bringing Titanic back to the big screen again, which is an experience you shouldn't miss. And thanks again for staying true to Titanic."

So close your eyes and prepare for the most persistent ear worm of all time to lodge itself into your brain (thanks again, Céline Dion). As for those much-lauded special effects, they may not seem quite as special as when the movie was released back in 1997, but there's one aspect of this trailer that will never fail to impress us: Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet don't appear to have aged a day.

Now that's movie magic.
