So he can make something that's not borderline creepy.

Sculptor Daniel Edwards is famous for creating works of art that make us wonder what planet he's on, but he set the craziness aside this time when he made a bust in tribute to the late Amy Winehouse.

A press release states that the inspiration for this piece came from numerous Facebook fans from the U.K. who requested something be made in remembrance of the singer.

So, in order to please the people, the New York artist put together Memorial Portrait for Amy Winehouse, which features Winehouse's nude bust, bare from piercings and tattoos, and with a songbird and lilies in her hair.

"I thought of her as a beautifully delicate fairytale princess, waiting to be rescued from fame and addiction, but her prince never came," said Edwards.  "I had always expected to sculpt her portrait, but I was waiting for her to put some of her troubles behind her.  She had made me pay attention to contemporary music again."

"The portrait of Amy is dedicated to those struggling with addiction and eating disorder," said the artist's representative Cory Allen.  "Nobody should have to go through what Amy went through."
