Well, that didn't take long!

It's a known fact that when Kate Middleton gives an outfit her royal stamp of approval, it sells out instantly.

So when the Duchess of Cambridge stepped out in a white and navy printed wrap dress by Diane von Furstenberg while in Winmalee, Australia this Thursday, we weren't surprised when the dress started flying off shelves.

But even we were shocked at how fast these dresses went. The "Patrice Printed Cotton Wrap Dress" sold out in 8 minutes—that's barely enough time for us to go into our purse and dig out our credit card!

Although, if you go to the designer's website now, it says the dress is available "for preorder"  for $325, so it seems as though they have restocked.

Not only do we adore this figure-flattering dress, but we love how Kate styled it. Her Stuart Weitzman wedges and matching clutch are perfection.

From a designer's perspective, having Kate step out in one of your designs is clearly quite the coup. Recently designers like Roksanda Ilincic and Tory Burch have gotten the Kate bump, and Jenny Packham, who works with Kate often, spoke to WWD about the "Kate effect."

"Sometimes when we dress celebrities, there are always loads of Twitters and things like that when I wake up, I think, 'Oh right, she wore it,'" she said referring to the buzz after Kate stepped out in her "Fern dress" to a state dinner in New Zealand last week.

We wonder how fast the next dress Kate wears will sell out. Seven minutes? Five? Sixty seconds?!
