Fifteen years ago today, Princess Diana was tragically killed in a car accident.

Since then, her sons Prince William and Prince Harry (only 15 and 12 years old at the time of her death) have grown into handsome, successful men. William, now 30, married the love of his life, Kate Middleton, last year.

In an ABC interview that aired prior to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, William told Katie Couric it was "very difficult" that his mom wasn't able to be present for his wedding.  "I think she...she would have loved the day and I think, hopefully, she'd be very proud," he said. "I'm just very sad that she's never going to get a chance to meet Kate."

"I think she had the best seat in the house, probably," Harry added. "But yeah, she would have loved to have been there."

She was surely there in spirit, and looks down on her boys proudly every day. Our thoughts and prayers are with Will and Harry on this somber anniversary.
