Oh, Kris Humphries, we always knew you had spunk.

On Tuesday, the Brooklyn Nets announced that Kim Kardashian's ex would be returning to the team this season. And Kris, the clever character that he is, took the opportunity to quote Kanye West.

"I'm up at Brooklyn!" the 27-year-old power forward wrote. "@S_C_ "lucky I didn't have Jay drop me from the team" lol!"

Kris, of course, was quoting a lyric from Kanye's song "Way Too Cold" (originally titled "Theraflu.") In the original version, 'Ye raps, "I'll admit I fell in love with Kim around the same time she had fell in love with him / Well, that's cool, baby girl, do you thing / Lucky I ain't have Jay drop him from the team." (Jay-Z is a minority owner of the Brooklyn Nets.)

And while Kimye do appear to be quite happy jet-setting around the world, Kris appears to be doing fine as well. A source tells ESPN.com that the he agreed to a two-year, $24 million contract.

Everybody wins!
