Call it a license to tease.

Sony Pictures and MGM have released the first trailer for the latest James Bond adventure, Skyfall, starring Daniel Craig as the martini-sipping Heineken-swilling superspy.

And based on the first look at Bond's 23rd mission, helmed by Sam Mendes, it appears 007 has his work cut out for him as he attempts to hunt down the villain or villains that are looking to take down MI6.

The teaser kicks off with everyone's favorite secret agent in a word-association exercise with a government psychologist.

"Country?" asks the analyst.

"England," Bond replies.

"Gun," states his interrogator.

"Shot," responds our hero.

"Agent?" asks the psychologist.

"Provocateur," replies Bond.

Watching them through a two-way mirror is Bond's boss M (Judi Dench) and Mallory, a government agent with oversight of MI6 played by Ralph Fiennes. The latter's part has so far been kept under wraps but previous publicity stills show him brandishing a gun, sparking questions about his loyalty. (And some rumors even suggest he's a new version of the classic Bond baddie, Ernst Blofeld!)

After the interrogation, the clip goes into Inception mode with the booming industrial clanking that's a feature of all trailers these days accompanied by flashes of footage such as Ian Fleming's alter ego firing his famous Walther PPK; coffins containing the remains of his countrymen, Bond getting an affectionate shave from his latest lady love (Naomie Harris), a massive train derailment, shots of Shanghai, a body falling down a skyscraper, and a silhouette of of a man we can only presume to be his new archenemy, played by Oscar winner Javier Bardem, as he walks away from a building gutted by flames behind him.

"Some men are coming to kill us," says 007. "We're gonna kill them first."

The trailer concludes with an awesome thumping techno version of the famous Bond movie theme and a brief montage of the some of the biggest action, including several explosions and a VW flipping over.

Skyfall, which is currently shooting in Istanbul, hits theaters Nov. 9.

It's good to have you back, Mr. Bond.
